Individual (Adult & Adolescents) Intake: $200 | 50 Minutes

The first meeting together in therapy is known as intake. You will be provided information on the counseling process, your rights, confidentiality, policies, safety, rates, roles and expectations. At intake you will provide insight into your reasons for seeking therapy and your desired therapeutic goals. Information on any mental health diagnosis you are currently managing, treatment history, health and social information, emotional and behavioral symptoms, occupational information, religious/spiritual information, and family health history will be collected during intake. The therapist will dive into your personal strengths, coping strategies you are currently utilizing, and explore your current relationships and support system. Additionally, relevant assessments will be given and education on preliminary findings will be communicated. This is not an interview; it’s not stiff, and there is no performance necessary. You have the freedom to just be you. At the conclusion of this session, you and the therapist will discuss recommendations on the frequency and appropriateness of services to get you to your desired goals.

Adult Individual Therapy (18+): $200 | 50 Minutes

In order to reach your goals, you and the therapist will often need to explore your past. As you take a trip down memory lane, the therapist will look for themes that may now present as barriers to your ability to reach your full potential. You will explore past experiences and any impacts those experiences may have had on how you currently perceive the world and others around you. The therapist will support you as you explore those experiences, work towards healing them, and develop a healthier perspective and understanding of them. The more you know, the more you are able to heal. You will also work on the development of healthy coping strategies so that you can better manage stressors as they present themselves.

Adolescent (12-17) Individual Therapy $200 | 50 Minutes

Has your teen started to feel a dip in self-confidence, overall mood, and self-esteem? Teens (just like adults) can benefit from therapy. Teens go through a lot of challenges and life stressors and often go through a lot of adjustments as they navigate through their teen years into young adulthood. Teen years are characterized by exploration, goal setting, risk-taking, social interaction, and the continued development of critical reasoning skills. Therapy helps teens navigate through trauma, anxiety, sexuality, depression, peer pressure, social anxiety, gender identity, academic pressure, home-life struggles, self-esteem, relationships, and adjustments associated with military service, moving, change in school, and/or the divorce/separation of parents. The therapist has helped many teens navigate through adjustments, crises, and mental health challenges.

Individual Trauma Therapy $200 | 50 Minutes

We assess trauma subjectively, as the response to events differs in the way they’re processed individually. Trauma is one of the most complex experiences to live through. It’s also one of the most challenging experiences for a therapist to treat. Our therapist is an expert in trauma. She has years of training and experience in trauma associated with domestic violence, abuse, gun violence, traumatic death, combat, emotional and psychological abuse, and relationships affected by past trauma. She also knows trauma personally. She has sat on the couch and has personally done the work to heal her own past trauma. Therapy heals. It allows you to move through it and past it. After experiencing a traumatic event, it’s common to feel sadness, fear, shame, and anger. You don’t have to carry those emotions long-term. You can and should resolve those feelings. Trauma can interrupt emotional processing, so those that have experienced trauma often struggle to articulate how they are feeling and even what they are thinking at times. Past trauma can shape and influence current thoughts and behaviors. Often, a person is unaware of the connection between present thoughts/behaviors and past experiences. This is either because they have forgotten the experience in its entirety or minimized the impact of that experience. In therapy you will work to uncover, examine, and heal the trauma you have experienced. Living through trauma is something that can affect you for the rest of your life. Our therapist takes that personally. Just as trauma alters the brain, so does healing.

Relationship Intake $200 | 50 Minutes

The first meeting/session together in relationship therapy is known as intake. You will be provided information on the counseling process, your rights, confidentiality, our no secret policy, policies, safety, rates, roles, and expectations. At intake you (the couple/client) will attend together. Aside from one or two individual sessions, all your sessions will be together. You will provide insight into your reasons for seeking therapy and your desired therapeutic goals. You will talk about how your relationship functions, your strengths as a couple, your communication styles, your concerns, and family dynamics. The first session will set the stage for what you can expect during future sessions and will prepare an environment where you and your partner can be encouraged to express your feelings and past experiences together. You and the therapist will also review any questions or concerns you may have regarding relationship therapy. This is not an interview. It’s not stiff, and there is no performance necessary. You have the freedom to just be you. At the conclusion of this session, you and the therapist will discuss recommendations on the frequency and appropriateness of services to get you to your desired goals.

Relationship Therapy $200 | 50 Minutes

Relationship therapy is focused on resolving relationship stress and interpersonal conflict. Relationship therapy is also called couples therapy, partners counseling, and marriage counseling. We use these terms interchangeably to acknowledge the diverse ways in which we relate and identify within relationships. In the therapist’s work with those that identify as LGBTQ+, she also explores and acknowledges how outside influences from society impact the relationship and/or inform roles and expectations. The therapist utilizes emotionally focused therapy (EFT) & techniques in relationship therapy. This model of treatment helps to improve relationships by rekindling the physical and emotional bond that can get sacrificed to disappointment in a partner and alienation from them— a common dynamic in distressed couples. This approach also helps to improve verbal communication, intimacy, respect, and affection. In addition, it helps to remove barriers to conflict resolution. It also promotes empathy and compassion within a relationship. In relationship therapy, the therapist will also utilize psychodynamic and attachment therapy techniques to examine how past experiences inform and impact the present relationship. Relationship therapy is a safe space to heal and strengthen a relationship.

Notice: Relationship therapy is not recommended nor appropriate when domestic violence is present. If you are dealing with domestic violence, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline 24/7. Help is available.

Relationship Therapy (Trauma-Informed) $200 | 50 Minutes

Relationship therapy through a trauma-informed lens. It’s relationship therapy with a focus on committed relationships that are affected by interpersonal symptoms associated with past trauma and ptsd. Whether caused by early abandonment, childhood abuse, military combat, or other traumatic experiences, the impact of trauma on committed relationships can be complex and challenging at times. Past trauma can bleed into present relationships, making it difficult to feel secure within a relationship. Trauma can interrupt emotional processing, so those that have experienced trauma often struggle to articulate how they are feeling and even what they are thinking at times. This can cause conflict and miscommunication, and it can make it difficult for well-intended partners to know what kind of support to provide. The therapist helps partners understand triggering events in their current relationships and how to navigate those moments. A trauma-informed couple eases the stressors and communication challenges associated with present-time emotional disturbances influenced by past experiences. With a specialty in attachment & trauma, your treatment is led by evidence based research and techniques, certifications, & experience.
