Meet the Therapist
Hello! I’m Nastasia—founder of Hello Healed® and Project 1442.
I’m a licensed psychotherapist with an edge, unapologetically doing what it takes to feel well and help others do the same.
I specialize in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma, anxiety, and attachment. Providing individual and relationship trauma therapy, I’m one of the few providers in the San Diego and Riverside area specializing in relationship trauma therapy—helping those in committed relationships that are affected by interpersonal symptoms associated with past trauma and PTSD.
In addition to my licensure, I’m a certified neuropsychotherapist. My approach to trauma is unique. I blend neuroscience and psychodynamic techniques to promote brain change for the management of trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, and anxiety.
Candidly, I value authenticity and transparency. I’m a survivor of trauma, and I believe connection and transparency are a large part of healing. I understand what it's like to be the one sitting on the couch and not in the chair.
Trauma is complex, and therapy does heal. While I have the credentials and expertise in the treatment of trauma, I want people to know that I'm someone that really sees the person in front of me. For me, it’s about seeing people past a diagnosis or a symptom. I want people to feel seen, heard, and believed.
WHY?
Simplified, therapy is my thing.
I love to help people obtain a sense of understanding, security, wholeness, and balance—to uncover the parts of a person that have been sitting untouched since childhood, often impacting who they are today.
Most of those who come to me want to understand and make sense of why they think, feel, and behave a specific way—why they feel stuck in pain. They want to put down the misplaced shame they carry—surrendering the history, pain, shame, and guilt. I get to be a witness to someone’s healing, and that is everything.
I get to hold people up, help to resolve the unresolved, and watch those that were suffering stand in empowerment and peace. I get to witness the softening and surrendering of years of destructive beliefs about self & others daily. It’s unparalleled. I can’t imagine doing anything else. It’s an honor.
MY APPROACH
There is no one-size-fits all approach. Your experiences are individual to you. I spend a lot of time getting to know you and what your journey to therapy has looked like. We will explore childhood, past relationships, experiences, and emotional and physical symptoms that have impacted you.
I take a culturally informed, integrative approach to therapy that is evidence-based and evidence-led—therapy that addresses the whole person and places the client at the center of their treatment plan vs. their diagnosis. Your treatment plan will be individualized. I systematically examine your biological, psychological, cultural, and social factors and their complex interactions to identify what influences your mental health.
Without considering the whole person, you can’t completely understand its complexities, and without considering the research and evidence, we can’t treat them. A culturally informed and integrative approach that is evidence-based and evidence-led enhances treatment effectiveness.
In therapy, I tend to explore the past to gain insight into who my client is currently. When I begin to identify common themes that have impacted my client’s sense of safety, trust, security, and overall well-being, I guide them in healing the very reason those themes exist. The goal is to get my client to a place where they no longer feel internal conflict and instead feel total alignment mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
