Advocacy

I’m an Advocate

The practice of advocacy sounds simple. But it’s a profound act. It first takes getting quiet and asking: “How can I help?” I understand the responsibility of advocacy. I personally advocate for access to quality, affordable, and affirming mental health services.

I advocate for immediate access to resources that really work for those that have survived trauma and violence. Giving those that have survived trauma and violence spaces that offer support, a secure base, and opportunity to re-establish what it feels like to be safe is something as a collective we can do. We have a responsibility to help and show up for those in need. I actively participate in teaching others (individuals, groups, and communities) how to apply, provide, and promote trauma informed care and resources in mental health, classroom, and workplace environments.

In addition, I participate in advocacy efforts to ensure access to clean drinking water and immediate access to mental health care for those affected by an environmental crises and/or toxic exposure. Preventative efforts, effective policies, and trained response teams, reduce the risk of mental health conditions such as PTSD, Anxiety, and Depression. Universal access to safe drinking water is a fundamental need and human right.

I advocate for your well.

Outreach

I’m committed to continuous outreach efforts to reduce the misconceptions and stigma surrounding Mental Health & Wellness. I work tirelessly to close the gap between those in need and access to Mental Health Care. I’ve worked so hard to design, protect, and apply my vision of a more equitable and compassionate private practice. A practice that represents the definition of humanity—the collectiveness of humankind and living amongst and connecting with others empathetically and with compassion.

I have a passion for serving those most at-risk in underserved communities. Continue reading below to learn more on how I work to bridge the gap and increase access to support and mental health care, open dialogue, education, and engagement with the collective in order to remove the stigma and normalize every-day conversations on mental health.

Media & Speaking Engagements

Podcast & Media

Mental Health and Wellness via Podcast and Media. I provide education and insight into what research has found & what is behind the research—what that looks and feels like to real people with real experiences. The reasoning for media is that it cultivates an atmosphere of education, open dialogue, and advocacy on topics of mental health. My sole purpose of media is to provide education on topics related to mental health and to give people the room to share their perspectives, experiences, and contributions. To educate people on mental health is essential. However, including people in that conversation is profound.

You can find me at ‘Well by Nastasia’ on youtube.

Social Media

Like my online practice, conversations on mental health issues are turning online. The stigma associated with mental health is finally breaking down and topics such as anxiety, depression, and stress, are now every-day conversations across all social media platforms. As a psychotherapist, I have a unique honor to share and help reduce feelings of isolation and aloneness—normalize mental health. I use social media to initiate a sense of belonging or relatability through understanding. I share easily absorbed, accessible, and inspirational content to assist in normalizing mental health.

I welcome interviews on topics related to trauma, domestic violence, and interventions associated with environmental crises. Email me, let’s collab!

Speaking Engagements

I am available for speaking engagements. I share my expertise and experiences in an effort to end the stigma associated with mental health & wellness. It’s important to me to cultivate an atmosphere of open dialogue supportive of mental health, provide education on mental health challenges, and empower youth and adults to take an active role in improving and protecting mental health & wellness.

Support Groups

The fundamental goal of support groups is to help people cope and initiate a sense of belonging or relatability through understanding which is achieved by sharing common experiences. For this reason, the support groups I have designed and offer target specific concerns common to all members in attendance. Support groups are influenced by the practice of healing in collectiveness, the very practice that Hello Healed®, was founded on. Support groups are about coping, support in collectiveness, belonging, renewal, and overall healing without judgement. They are about healing without a timeline and without intervention. Support group is a place to drop the ‘emotional backpack’ and find support amongst those that know, understand, and have been there too. That is what Hello Healed® support groups encompass. It’s what Hello Healed® is founded upon. That is, the reflection of the definition of humanity— the collectiveness of humankind and living amongst and connecting with others empathetically and with compassion. Hello Healed® support groups are about coping collectively.
